Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- A session of the Permanent Commission of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK took place.
The session brought up for discussion the issues of amending and supplementing the DPRK's Law on Industrial Art, Law on Vocational Education, Law on General Education and Law on Examination of Export and Import Goods and adopted relevant decrees.
The law on industrial art further subdivided the relevant contents in actively developing the industrial art such as organizing and providing conditions for the field creation of industrial art, creating industrial art on a mass basis, recording the results of the examination of industrial art designs and gaining access and dissemination to the data on industrial art designs.
Contents in some articles of the law on vocational education were amended and supplemented, including the organization of vocational technology college, educational plan, drawing up of educational programme, training of teachers and their appointment, and the supply of teaching materials, fixtures and apparatuses for experiment and practice.
The law on general education specified in detail the issues arising in strengthening the general education such as newly defining the age of secondary compulsory education, improving the educational administration and environment, qualifying teachers and organizing education according to the educational programme.
Relevant articles of the law on examination of export and import goods, including the responsibility and role of inspectors, the proposal and verification of the application for inspection of export and import goods, the place for inspection of export and import goods and the guidance on the inspection of export and import goods, were detailed to help guarantee the quality and quantity of export and import goods and ensure the stability of trade by strictly establishing the stricter discipline and order in inspection. -0-
