The 26th Plenary Session of the 14th Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang on June 2.
It was presided over by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA of the DPRK.
Present there were Vice-Chairmen Kang Yun Sok and Kim Ho Chol, Secretary General Ko Kil Son and other members of the Standing Committee of the SPA.
Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the SPA, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies.
The plenary session brought up as agenda items the issue on amending and supplementing the DPRK Law on National Land Planning, Law on Tideland, Law on Waterworks and Law on Sewage Works and the issue on recalling and electing judges of the Central Court of the DPRK.
It heard a report on the main contents of the amendments and supplements to the laws concerned discussed at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.
It studied and deliberated on the agenda items presented and adopted the decrees of the Standing Committee of the SPA--"On Amending and Supplementing the DPRK Law on National Land Planning", "On Amending and Supplementing the DPRK Law on Tideland", "On Amending and Supplementing the DPRK Law on Waterworks" and "On Amending and Supplementing the DPRK Law on Sewage Works".
The plenary session recalled and elected judges of the Central Court of the DPRK.
