Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- Activities of women's union organizations and members in Pyongyang Municipality are getting brisk at the construction site in the Hwasong area, true to the grand plan of the Workers' Party of Korea for construction.
Officials and members of the women's union in Pyongyang Municipality conducted brisk shock brigade activities and do-good-thing movement at the construction site of 10 000 flats for first-stage project in the Hwasong area from March last year to mid-April this year.
The Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the women's union held a meeting to proclaim the start of socialist emulation between shock brigades of district committees of the union and issued relevant emulation outlines.
As the shock brigade activities started, the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the women's union deployed information and motivation forces including 200-odd art squads at the construction site to conduct agit-prop activities for encouraging enthusiasm of builders for revolution and struggle.
Accordingly, activities of the women's union organizations and members of the shock brigades of the women's union of all districts were launched to make the whole Hwasong area seethe.
Members of the Ryongsong District Committee of the women's union conducted a do-good-thing movement to raise the survival rate of more than 10 000 trees newly planted on Hwasong Hill and took charge of a 3 500-meter-long road to put its management on a normal basis.
From the first day of the shock brigade activities, many officials and members of the Hyongjesan District Committee of the women's union carried out many tasks and aided goods for supply services.
Officials and members of the Taedonggang District Committee of the women's union sent letters and a lot of supplies to the builders.
The women's union shock brigade activities were more briskly conducted, along with the organizational and political work of the women's union organizations.
Many officials and members of the women's union in Pyongyang Municipality sent a lot of aid materials to the builders and provided hair-cutting and footwear-mending services for the builders.
The women's union shock brigade activities now under way in the Hwasong area give a further boost to the revolutionary atmosphere of the construction site. -0-
