Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, arrived in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on July 26 to participate in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
The delegation was warmly greeted by Kim Song Nam, director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association.
Ambassador Wang Yajun and staff members of the Chinese embassy here were present to greet the delegation.
A woman worker presented a bouquet to Li Hongzhong.
With national flags of the two countries and bunches of flowers in their hands, citizens in Pyongyang warmly welcomed the goodwill mission of the Chinese people who assisted the Korean people in their just cause at the cost of their blood, sharing the fate in the same trench to repel the imperialist aggression. -0-
