Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- There took place a session of the Permanent Commission of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The session deliberated the issues of amending and supplementing the laws of the DPRK on hydro-meteorology, prevention of marine pollution, registration of ships, agriculture and price and adopted relevant decrees.
The law on hydro-meteorology stipulated the issues arising in exchange and cooperation in the field of hydro-meteorology and the relations with other laws and further detailed the contents of hydro-meteorological observation and forecast, management of hydro-meteorological facilities and guidance and control over hydro-meteorological work.
Amended and supplemented in the law on prevention of marine pollution and the law on registration of ships were the issue of making a timely and regular survey and analysis of water quality, animals and plants in the sea, the issue of setting proper criteria for assessment of pollution, conducting the work for prevention of marine pollution and the research for it in a scientific and planned way and the issue of establishing strict system and order in the registration of ships.
Amended in the law on agriculture were the contents on the principles of agricultural guidance, production planning and organization, improvement of fertility, production guidance and enterprise management, enforcement of the self-balancing system, sub-workteam management system and the premium system for workteam, political and material evaluation and punishment in case of violation of the order of agricultural production and disposal of products. The law on price was amended and supplemented with such contents as application of prices according to indices and posting of price tables. -0-
