South Korean people from all walks of life further intensify their struggle against the ever-worsening nuclear war moves of the US imperialists and traitor Yoon Suk Yeol and his clan.

The Headquarters of the Movement for Resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol "Regime", the Emergency Situation Council, the Joint Conference of the Civic and Social Organizations, the "Peace Action" and other organizations started an intensive struggle against war and for peace.

They held a press conference in Seoul on August 3 and made public a statement calling for making the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" give up its hostile policy toward the north and policy of servility with the United States.

They denounced Yoon Suk Yeol for his pro-Japanese traitorous act and called for putting an end to his "regime" with united efforts.

Public organizations of workers, peasants, students and citizens got to an intensive struggle under the slogan "No war exercises! No military alliance!".

The South Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a rally in Pusan on the 5th in demand of the withdrawal of the US forces and the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol.

The Progressive Federation of University Students held a ceremony before the US Embassy in Seoul and US military bases including Sosong-ri of Songju County, Taegu and Phyongthaek on the 6th to declare a struggle. At the ceremony it maintained that they "oppose the combined exercises inviting nuclear calamity" and demanded the "withdrawal of the US forces" and the "resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol spoiling the state affairs at fast speed".

The federation issued an appeal.

The People's Action announced its will to wage a struggle in front of the Japanese Consulate in Pusan and the Japanese Embassy in Seoul and in Sosong-ri, Songju County of North Kyongsang Province and Ryongsan of Seoul in demand of the withdrawal of the US forces, the removal of "THAAD", the halt to the war exercises and the resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol.

A peaceful organization declared that they will start in front of the US military base in Ryongsan and go round Sosong-ri in Songju County with the "THAAD" base, the Paegunpho base in Pusan and and US military base in Kunsan so as to wage a struggle against war and for the withdrawal of the US forces.

The 51st candlelight rally and demonstration for the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol took place in all parts of south Korea including Seoul on the 5th.

Present there were many people of all stripes including workers, peasants, paupers, students, religious men and citizens.

Speakers said the candle-carrying ranks have become more powerful over the past one year since the start of the candlelight struggle and stressed the need to down with and punish Yoon Suk Yeol.

Then, the participants staged a demonstration.

Meanwhile, members of the Deliverymen Trade Union held a rally in Seoul on the 4th and turned out in the anti-"government" struggle.

South Korean media carried articles of different titles including "All Parts Bright with the Candlelight", "Even the Intense Heat Could Not Break the Strong Will of the People" and "Desire Hotter Than the Fierce Heat". The articles said: It is unprecedented that the solidarity organizations calling for peace, justice of history and Yoon Suk Yeol's resignation prepare a rally together. It shows that the situation of the Korean peninsula is serious so much. The struggle of organizations of workers, peasants, paupers and citizens against the United States and for Yoon Suk Yeol's resignation has begun in real earnest. The struggle of people of different sections against the United States and for Yoon Suk Yeol's resignation is further expanded as the days go by.
