The Korean Central News Agency issued a commentary under the title "Armed Forces of our Republic Know No Mercy".

The commentary said.

A thermo-nulear war, the first ever in history, is more than likely on the Korean peninsula.

The United States and the south Korean puppets started on August 21st the joint military exercise "Ulji Freedom Guardian" unprecedented in scale despite our repeated warning.

The United States mobilized not only the hardware and armed forces deployed in the operational area of the Korean peninsula but also the space forces from the mainland for the first time in history in the current nuclear war exercise to last until the 31st with the involvement of vast armed forces.

Expected to be deployed are the US nuclear assets including nuclear carrier, nuclear submarine and "B--1B" and "B--52H" strategic bombers.

An aggressive nature of the current exercise is more revealed as Australia, Canada, France, Britain, Greece, Italy, New Zealand and the Philippines, the war criminal states which joined in the Korean War under the signboard of the "UN Forces", are involved in it.

The United States and the hostile forces are going to stage combined field mobile exercises on 30 occasions and practical north-targeted war drill in an all operational area including the land, sea, air and space.

The brass hats of the United States, Japan and south Korean puppets assembled at the Camp David around Washington on the 18th to officially map out detailed plan for a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula. The seriousness of the situation increases all the more as the exercise for its implementation has already started soon after the agreements on the exercise are made.

If the agreements made at the Camp David are additionally implemented in the current exercise involving the human and material resources of the hostile forces and even the satellite forces, the possibility of outbreak of thermo-nuclear war on the Korean peninsula might become a reality.

The reality shows that any sophistry about "annual" and "defensive" ones can never conceal the dangerous character of the "Ulji Freedom Guardian" joint military exercise involving all possible war resources.

It is too evident that the current war exercise staged "in the scale largest ever" and "for the first time in history" with the belligerent phrases of the "occupation", "annihilation", "beheading" and "devastation" is targeted at our Republic.

The prevailing situation demands proactive, offensive and upperhanded war response of our army.

The strong will to punish the hostile forces threatening the sovereignty of our state and our people's right to live century after century is waiting for the moment of flush.

The armed forces of our Republic will wait for a chance.
