Fierce struggle is being staged in the region of south Korean puppets to demand the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol bringing a nuclear holocaust by following the U.S. and Japan and the abrogation of the triangular alliance and to protest against the war drills and Japan’s discharge of nuclear-polluted water into sea.

On August 21 when the U.S. and the puppet group of traitors started the war drills against the north, organizations of various circles demanded the halt to north-targeted war drills simulating an actual nuclear war provocation, through statements, comments, press conferences, rallies, demonstrations, etc.

Labor and civic and public organizations including the People’s Action held press conferences in Seoul and other areas to denounce the U.S. and the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" escalating the danger of a nuclear war with war moves.

Speakers there urged all the people to turn out in an action against the dangerous nuclear war, charging that Yoon Suk Yeol is destroying the peace of the Korean peninsula by forming a military alliance with the U.S. and Japan.

Through press conferences and one-man demonstrations outside the U.S. military bases in Taegu, Pusan, Kyonggi Province and other areas, organizations of various circles stated that the danger of a nuclear war has increased due to the largest-ever joint military drills staged despite strong opposition at home and abroad.

Noting that what Yoon wants to do with the U.S. and Japan is confrontation and consolidation of the war "alliance" and this is clearly proved through the tripartite talks and joint military drills, they resolutely rejected the Yoon Suk Yeol "government’s" attitude and diplomacy of kowtowing to the U.S. and Japan and policy of confrontation with the north and strongly condemned the U.S., the chief criminal who brought the crisis.

In Seoul, Kwangju and South Jolla Province, civic and public organizations and environment organizations including the Sovereignty Solidarity and the Progressive Federation of Students called press conferences in front of the puppet government building and offices of the conservative group to declare that they would struggle to the last to oust traitor Yoon who is kowtowing to outsiders and bringing a nuclear war crisis.

Angered by the Japanese reactionaries’ announcement that the discharge of nuclear-polluted water into the sea will be started on Aug. 24, people from all walks of life launched a protest action all at once in front of the Japanese embassy and other areas.

The "joint action for checking Japan’s discharge of radioactive contamination water into sea" held a press conference outside the Japanese embassy on Aug. 22 to denounce Japan for deciding to discharge the nuclear-polluted water into the sea and traitor Yoon Suk Yeol for zealously supporting the discharge.

Speakers charged that Yoon cooperated with Japan, instead of checking its discharge of nuclear-polluted water into the sea and his "government" is subordinate to Japan.

The Confederation of Trade Unions (CTU), the environment movement association, the green federation and other organizations issued statements declaring that they would surely check Japan’s discharge of nuclear-polluted water into the sea and punish the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" conniving and backing it.

The statements stressed that any forces supporting Japan in disregard of the life and security of mankind are conspirators and a do-or-die resistance would be staged to prevent the discharge of nuclear-polluted water.

Regional organizations, too, have staged protest actions every day. They declared that Japan’s discharge of nuclear-polluted water into the sea is an anti-human crime and the "government" supporting Japan’s discharge is little short of the traitor more than 110 years ago and that they would punish Yoon Suk Yeol.

In particular, the CTU and other organizations went on an emergency action of 72 hours on August 23 to check the discharge of nuclear-polluted water.

Experts and people from all walks of life in the region of south Korean puppets have contended that the joint drills have already gone beyond the critical point, the present crisis is attributable to Yoon’s assumption to power, it is possible to prevent war and defend peace only when he is ousted, and the louder voice calling for his resignation with candlelight should be raised in streets and plazas.
