One day in June Juche 66(1977),Chairman Kim Jong Il gave fieldguidance at a major construction site over the night and set out on the returnjourney at dawn.
As the car just got out of theconstruction site, the Chairman fell into a deep sleep leaning his body againstthe backrest.
Aftersome 10 minutes, however, he got up and straightened his body. Anaccompanying official expressed his regret saying a short and uncomfortablesleep is no better than no sleep. The Chairman replied that he did not know thevalue of short nap before but he got to recognize it as he took short naps onthe chair while working hard. He continued that a short sleep was insufficientbut it was a good, sweet sleep which can relieve fatigue intensively and thereforehe thought a short nap was the sweetest.
The bestand sweetest sleep is a short nap—this sentence epitomizes the boundless enthusiasm of theChairman who worked energetically without proper sleep or rest for the countryand revolution and the people, saving every second and minute.
