Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK is carrying out its plans for every ten days and every month.

It has directed primary efforts to adjustment and reinforcement project and given precedence to the supply of equipment and materials.

Its oxygen heat blast furnace shop has markedly increased pig iron production by introducing various advanced furnace operation methods.

Workers of the shop have increased the rounds of tapping and ensured the quality of molten iron by giving priority to science and technology, thus increasing the output per charge.

The oxygen separator branch factory has made progress in improving the productivity and quality of oxygen by building up its own sci-tech force.

Workers of the Steel Workshop No. 2 have over-fulfilled their production plans by regularly and responsibly checking the equipment and solving technical problems arising in raising the extraction rate of steel. -0-
