Korean socialism is a society based on collectivism and a superior society in which all its members live harmoniously, helping and leading one another forward under the slogan "One for all and all for one!".
In the late 1950s, the Chollima Movement was conducted in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, bringing about an upsurge in all fields of the socialist construction. (Chollima is a legendary horse galloping 400 kilometres a day.)
What pervaded the whole country in those days recorded as the Chollima era in history was the collectivist spirit of one for all and all for one.
At that time, everyone always thought of the interests of the collective before his or her own.
The virtue of one for all became a nationwide movement everyone desires, loves and joins, and the climate of all for one was established everywhere in this country including the factories, the countryside and the construction sites.
The members of an excavator workteam at the Ryongyang Mine handed over good stopes to the workteams that fell behind in production and moved to other stopes with unfavourable conditions eight times. A young silk-reeler made hers the Chollima Workteam and shifted to backward workteams twice to make them win the same title. She became a heroine for her distinguished feats.
Kept in their hearts was the slogan "One for all and all for one!".
The Korean people wrought miracles of history, producing 120,000 tons of steel billets in a blooming mill with a capacity of 60,000 tons and carrying out the industrialization in 14 years' time, which others realized for centuries, thereby turning the country into a socialist industrial state.
Today, too, the collectivist spirit is fully displayed in the Korean society every day amid the redoubled revolutionary zeal and patriotic enthusiasm of the masses at the work places under the slogan "One for all and all for one!".
