Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The 6th Session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK adopted a law on the enforcement of the universal 12-year compulsory education in September Juche 101 (2012).
It was an important step embodying the noble outlook of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on the rising generation, and a revolution made in the building of education in the new century.
Since the adoption of this law, work has been further pushed ahead to create and introduce new teaching methods in the field of education and improve the educational conditions and environment in keeping with the world trend of educational development and the pedagogical requirements. And a well-regulated technical senior middle school system has been established across the country to accelerate the development of all sectors.
All these are a precious fruition of the leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who wisely leads the work for the development of the country's education.
He worked heart and soul for the successful enforcement of the universal 12-year compulsory education.
He made public such works as "Let Us Make Ours a Country of Education and a Talent Power by Bringing about a Radical Improvement in Education in the New Century!", thus providing important guidelines for the successful implementation of the educational revolution.
And he ensured that a series of Party and state measures were taken to develop the educational work, and put forward the slogan "Let us make a leap forward by dint of science and guarantee the future by dint of education!" at the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 7th WPK Central Committee.
He devoted his all to training the younger generation into talents well educated, while giving ceaseless field guidance to the educational sector.
Indeed, the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un , who regards education as an important issue related to the future of the state and always gives top priority to it, was the driving force that ushered in a new, eye-opening era of training revolutionary talents, a new heyday of development of Juche education in the country. -0-
