Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK launched a brisk campaign for preventing forest fire as an all-people patriotic work.
The forestry sector in the province has carried on the meticulous work to establish a more regular system of monitoring and notifying forest fire and mobilizing people at all units and lay necessary material and technical foundations during the prevention of forest fire in autumn.
The Sinuiju City Forestry Management Office is taking a step to perfectly apply the system of forest fire monitoring by IT means.
Phihyon County has ensured that the inhabitants strictly observe the established order for entering mountains and, at the same time, forest rangers and fire rangers enhance their role to remove the danger factors in advance.
Thaechon County has provided the newly-built fire observation posts and mobile posts with such material and technical conditions as monitoring and fire-arresting equipment to cope with any forest fire immediately.
Kujang and Uiju counties established a well-regulated information system for preventing forest fire.
Working people in Tongrim and Pakchon counties are taking an active part in the forest fire prevention campaign with high sense of civil consciousness and law observance. -0-
