Ideological Offensive Intensified by Trade Union Organizations

Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- Trade union organizations at all levels in the DPRK are conducting an offensive work to make their members cherish patriotism as their outlook on life. The Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) studied the methodology of ideological education for preparing all its members to be patriotic socialist working people and generalized the excellent experience. Through the meeting with heroes and persons of merits held at Kim Il Sung University and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, trade union members renewed their determination to display the honor of the vanguard unit in the on-going grand advance by following the noble patriotic spirit and fighting mettle of the preceding generations. Itinerant lecturers of the trade union organizations in North Phyongan Province went to the Rakwon General Machine Enterprise, the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory and other units associated with leadership exploits of the peerlessly great men to encourage workers and trade union members to work miracles and innovations at their worksites, true to the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is devoting his all to the country and people. At an oratorical meeting held in Kangwon Province, the performers called upon all the working people to devote their wisdom and passion to the prosperity and development of the country, bearing in mind that their passion for the revolution is patriotism. Trade union organizations in Onsong and Myonggan counties of North Hamgyong Province are instilling patriotism into their members through songs and poems. The number of true patriots who think of the country's affairs first before their family affairs and strive to relieve the state of its heavy burden is on a daily increase in South Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces, Nampho Municipality and other parts of the country, so that the vitality and influence of the ideological offensive conducted by trade union organizations have been fully proved in practice.
