Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang University of Architecture marked its 70th founding anniversary.
The university is a pedigree establishment for training Juche-oriented talented architects and a prestigious architecture science centre, which has successfully trained pillars to shoulder the nation's architectural development under the leadership of the Party and made a remarkable contribution to building monuments of the times for the past seven decades since its foundation.
It is associated with the leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung , Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who strengthened and developed it into a comprehensive center for training talents in the field of architecture, looking far into the distant future of the country.
The grand monumental edifices bearing witness to the development of the country's architecture consistent with the Juche character, popular character and modernity are associated with the feats of the teaching staff and students of the university.
A meeting took place at the Central Youth Hall on Sunday to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the university.
Present there were Pak Thae Song, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, So Jong Jin, minister of Construction and Building-Materials Industry, officials concerned and officials, teaching staff, students and graduates of the university.
Pak Thae Song conveyed a congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the teaching staff and students of the university. -0-
