Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- True to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to develop the public health sector in a balanced and planned way, the public health sector has made successes in the work to further improve the level of medical service in local areas.
The Ministry of Public Health set realistic stepwise goals and plans for introducing advanced diagnostic and treatment methods into provincial preventive and curative institutions across the country and pushed ahead with them.
Researchers of the Tumour Institute under the Academy of Medical Science have imparted techniques to medical workers in Kangwon and North Hamgyong provincial general hospitals and others to make new surgical methods be successful in treating patients.
Medical workers of the Kim Man Yu Hospital and the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital visited North Phyongan and North Hwanghae provincial general hospitals and others to organize technical courses in conformity with the actual conditions and exchange experience and impart technology in a responsible manner so as to take measures for correct diagnosis and scientific and effective treatment.
