Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) is a powerful revolutionary party which is writing a history of great creation and changes on this land by mobilizing the inexhaustible strength of the popular masses, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a co-signed article. The history of our Party is the road covered by the people and the strength of our Party is the strength of the people. The greatness of our Party precisely means the greatness of the people and the victory won by our Party is the victory of our great people, the article says, and goes on: The DPRK has brought about world-startling events and great changes in all fabrics of state activities and social life, including politics, economy, military affairs and culture under the grave situation in which others cannot survive even a single day. This would have been unthinkable without the tested leadership of our Party which roused the masses to the building of a prosperous country. Thanks to sincere enthusiasm of many patriots who unconditionally supported the Party's plan and determination to build a powerful country and devotedly carried them out, the DPRK has made a leap forward racing against time while accumulating great power. As our Party has taken warm care of the people, trusted them and inspired their mental strength and creativity, the people absolutely support and trust it, and a powerful socialist fortress independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence has been built on this land where centuries-old backwardness and poverty once prevailed, and a new era of self-respect and prosperity, the era of our state-first principle, has been opened up despite the vicious blockade by imperialism. The single-hearted unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks is the proud fruit achieved only by the great Workers' Party of Korea, a genuine people's servant party which regards it as its mode of existence and revolutionary climate to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people and dedicates itself to ensuring their rights, interests and convenience. Today our Party is demonstrating its might as a prestigious socialist ruling party, an ever-victorious guiding force, which has built a dignified and powerful state by achieving epochal miracles and changes as it holds in high esteem the greatest statesman, peerless patriot and benevolent father of the people as the leader of the WPK generation after generation. Thanks to the great WPK, renowned with its great organizing and mobilizing ability and invincible guiding power for inspiring the people to perform epochal miracles and feats, the most powerful country, the people's paradise to be admired by the world, will surely emerge on this land.
