The Korean people, guided by the Workers’ Party of Korea, are creating entities of dramatic changes despite mountains of difficulties.

The source of their inexhaustible strength is their absolute trust in the truth that the leadership of the WPK is just a science bringing them victory.

The Party solves all the problems arising in the revolution and construction by relying on the strength of the masses of the people, and incorporates their independent will and demands in its lines and policies and thoroughly implements them.

It is the WPK’s constant view that the people are essential to the very existence of the Party and the country.

When an emergency of the influx of the malignant virus occurred in the DPRK in May last year, the Party took powerful countermeasures with the firm resolution to cope with and control the worst ever crisis in a matter of 90-odd days and protect the lives and safety of the people, while steadily continuing with construction for the sake of the people even in the face of all kinds of hardships.

The WPK’s lines and policies enjoy their absolute support and trust as it believes in them as in heaven and makes selfless, devoted efforts for the good of them.

Herein lies the secret that Korean socialism has recorded the longest history of existence without the slightest mistake or deviation in line during the decades-long journey of steady advance.

Regarding following the road of independence, the road of socialism, as the permanent strategic line in national development, the WPK translates the people’s dreams and ideals into reality by dint of its scientific analysis and seasoned leadership ability.

Major Party meetings regularly convened after the historic Eighth Party Congress adopted crucial decisions for realizing the people’s demands and interests, including the issues of building dwelling houses for the people, providing children with excellent upbringing conditions, supplying students with new school uniforms and school things at state expense, rapidly developing the socialist countryside and ushering in a heyday of development of the independent economy.

As a result, Songhwa Street and first-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area were constructed in the capital city of Pyongyang as ideal streets of the people even under the worst conditions and the construction of second-stage 10 000 flats in the area and a new street in the Sopho area in Pyongyang and modern farmhouses in rural villages across the country is being pushed ahead as scheduled. All the children throughout the country are supplied gratis with dairy products and other nourishing foods and a new era of radical rural development is being ushered in. Sea changes are being made through the general onward march for the comprehensive development of socialism in all fields such as the economy, education and culture, with the result that the country is spruced up with each passing day. The DPRK beats off the challenges from hostile forces and reliably safeguards the sovereignty and rights to development by increasing its self-defence capability great enough to deter aggressors from attacking it.

The Korean people regard the Party’s leadership as a science and truth and uphold it with the irresistible force of single-hearted unity.
