One night in October Juche 102(2013), therespected Comrade Kim Jong Un sawsamples exhibited on display stands in a sample room together with officials.
As he fixed his gaze at a riding jacket, he saidit was well made, it looked nice as it had embroidery in a live colour goingwell with its ground colour and the more he looked at it, the nicer it looked.
His repeated praise made the officials thinkdeeply.
As they had originally reported to him a totalof 24 designs for riding gear, they had put the design in the 23rd place.
The reason was that the design was made up ofthe three elements of head, neck and mane done in the single brushstroke methodof Korean painting and that only the back of a horse’s neck was portrayedwithout the front, and therefore they thought it looked very simple.
But when they actually saw the riding jacketembroidered with the design, they could not but admit they had thought wrong.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that designs should be created like this one insuch a way as to be simple, to preserve symbolically well the essentialcharacteristics of the object and to be distinctive and recognizable at aglance in theme.
As a result, the design which had been put at aback place was relocated at the head.
