U.S. Deployment of Space Force Criticized

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- Ri Song Jin, a researcher of the National Aerospace Technology Administration of the DPRK, released the following article titled "U.S. space force deployment aimed at preemptive aggression war" on Tuesday:

The U.S. moves aimed at military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region are steadily expanding into space.

Recently, a high-ranking official of the U.S. space force visited Tokyo to give shape to the conspiracy with the Japanese defense minister in the field of space and opened to the public that the work to form the U.S. space force to be stationed in Japan is being promoted.

Just ten months ago, the U.S., which has long sought space supremacy, created its first overseas space force in its Indo-Pacific Command after the establishment of the space force in 2019.

Later, the U.S. deployed its space force in the region of south Korean puppets, an advanced base for carrying out the Indo-Pacific strategy, and recently involved the space force in "Ulji Freedom Shield", a nuclear war rehearsal for aggression, for the first time.

The number of U.S. space troops was over 200 when it was organized, but increased more than 40 times in just three to four years, reaching at least 8 600 in the fiscal year 2023 and the budget allotted to the space force is increasing rapidly every year. This is nothing but a part showing that the U.S. moves for space militarization have gone beyond the red line.

The U.S. claims that the deployment of the U.S. space force in the Asia-Pacific region is for defending its mainland and ensuring security of its allies, but this is nothing but a camouflaged curtain to cover up the scenario for preemptive attack on the anti-U.S. and independent countries.

The real aim sought by the U.S. is to further improve the capability for preemptive strike at regional countries by using space to ensure its military edge over the DPRK, China, Russia and other regional military powers and, ultimately, to realize its strategy for world supremacy for aggression by force of arms.

The danger of deployment of the space force lies in the fact that the U.S. is trying to mount a preemptive attack on its foes simultaneously in the ground, air, sea and space once an opportunity arises, while constantly deploying its space force in the Asia-Pacific region and bringing into existence strategic nuclear submarines, strategic bombers and other strategic assets at any time.

Due to the U.S. reckless and dangerous arms buildup and space militarization, the possibility is still growing in the Asia-Pacific region in which the strategic balance may be destroyed at any moment to bring about a nuclear war.

The reality requires the regional countries more urgently than ever before to take every possible measure for defending peace and security in the world and the region from the U.S. aggressive moves for space militarization.

Now that the U.S. is getting hell-bent on space militarization with a preemptive nuclear attack as its ultimate target by massively introducing space force into the Korean peninsula and its vicinity, the space development including military reconnaissance satellite is an indispensable strategic option for guaranteeing the security interests and right to existence of the DPRK.

The just international community should heighten vigilance against the U.S. reckless moves for space militarization and resolutely oppose them in order to prevent the destruction of balance of forces in the region and the world and thoroughly deter the U.S. scheme for an aggression war.

The DPRK will continue to spur the bolstering up of the self-defensive capabilities for safeguarding the national sovereignty and territorial integrity and ensuring the regional peace and security to cope with the ever-escalating military threat and aggression scheme of the U.S. and its vassal forces in all areas including space. -0-
