Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- Ri Kwang Song, a commentator on international affairs of the DPRK, issued the following article titled "The current Middle East crisis predicts the U.S. bigger strategic defeat" on Friday:
Global peace and stability are exposed to serious threat as the Ukrainian situation has been prolonged due to the interference of the U.S. and the West. Under such circumstances, military conflict of unprecedented scale occurred in the Middle East, arousing great concern of the international community.
The international community made a conclusion that the source of the crisis outbreak is the U.S. openly patronizing its ally, which illegally occupied the territory of Palestine and has wantonly violated the interests of Palestinians, and pursuing the most reactionary policy toward the Middle East.
The U.S. has pushed forward the normalization of relations between Israel and Arab countries, advocating "Middle East peace", but it is aimed only to encircle and contain Iran and other anti-U.S. independent countries in the region, not for genuine peace in the Middle East.
Consequently, the U.S. arbitration resulted in extreme confrontation and contradiction among the forces, not regional detente, and brought about an adverse effect whereby the prospect of settling the Palestinian problem, the core of the Arab cause and the essence of the Middle East issue, came to be gloomier.
This time, too, the U.S. is driving the military tension in the Middle East into the brink of a war by selecting a commitment to unshakeable military support to its ally, not a political solution to the regional crisis.
The international community is now becoming increasingly critical of the U.S. which takes a clear-cut double-standard attitude as it has called for Ukraine's right to self-determination and territorial integrity in Europe but totally ignores the pains the Palestinian nation has suffered for decades due to Israel.
The reality clearly proves that the U.S. is not a "mediator" but a wrecker of Middle East peace and it is not a partner but a foe of Arab.
What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. is resorting to its stereotyped smear campaign against the DPRK again to deliberately link the recent Middle East crisis to the latter.
The U.S. administration's reptile press bodies and quasi-experts are spreading a groundless and false rumor that "north Korea's weapons" seemed to be used for the attack on Israel. They are also building up public opinion that the DPRK will make free use of the "strategy for blackmail diplomacy" escalating the regional tension by taking advantage of the U.S. great interest in the Middle East and Ukraine.
Clear is the U.S. sinister intention.
It is nothing but a bid to shift the blame for the Middle East crisis caused by its wrong hegemonic policy onto a third country and thus evade the international criticism focused on the empire of evil.
The DPRK is watching with vigilance the illegal acts of the U.S. which has spawned war and armed conflicts in different parts of the world and shifted the responsibility for them onto independent sovereign states.
The U.S. should not act rashly. Its hegemonic and double-standard policy towards the Middle East is not increasing its influence but decreasing it and leading to a disaster of shaking its overall foreign policy.
The world reviews meaningfully that the Middle East situation shows the failure of the U.S. information warfare, judgment on the situation and foreign strategy.
The Middle East crisis, which emerged as a huge strategic burden to the U.S., in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis, marked a decisive occasion of clearly revealing the critical point of the U.S.-style strategy for hegemony to establish a "world order based on rules" through the strengthening of ties with its allies and partners and the future of the only superpower getting darker.
The present Middle East crisis is no more than a prelude to a new strategic defeat to be endured by the U.S.
The more desperately the U.S. tries to obliterate international justice and disturb global peace and stability, the stronger the international community's determination to resolutely punish it will grow.
The U.S. will have to pay dearly for it. -0-
