Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- Sin Hong Chol, DPRK ambassador to Russia, released the following press statement on Saturday:

Recently, the U.S. finally delivered ATACMS ground-to-ground missile system to Ukraine despite the deep concern and strong opposition of the international community.

The Zelenskiy puppet clique, feeling gratitude for the U.S. offer of ATACMS, told that ATACMS has demonstrated its capability and that they give special thanks to the U.S.

The U.S. is craftily working to minimize the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by the delivery of ATACMS, building up public opinion that ATACMS delivered to Ukraine is an old type with maximum range of only 170 km.

However, no one will deny the fact that the ATACMS, whether old or modern, will be used for strike at the interior of Russia.

Any strike at the interior of Russia, a nuclear power, will not be of help to the early end of the Ukrainian situation or its peaceful settlement as the U.S. advocates but will serve as a catalyst for putting the whole Europe into the crucible of endless war and prolonging the war.

The U.S. now asserts that it does not want a head-on conflict with Russia, but in actuality it has left no means untried to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia and hold military hegemony over the whole world.

The delivery of ATACMS was finally motivated by the U.S. sinister intention to maintain the proxy war through Ukraine and thus deplete and weaken the overall national power of European countries and make them more firmly dependent on it.

The outlook for solution to the Ukrainian crisis is getting bleaker and the world has moved closer to an unprecedented great war, due to the selfish and anti-peaceful acts of the U.S. seeking only hegemonic interests, utterly indifferent to global peace and stability.

The anti-imperialist independent and righteous international community is strongly denouncing the offer of lethal weapons by the U.S., which imposes the most disastrous war on all mankind, and urging it to revoke such offer without delay.

The Ukrainian war by the U.S., which is sacrificing the interests of all Europeans for the establishment of "Unipolar World" while spending on hopeless war astronomical funds collected from its population as taxes, will end up in disgrace after being recorded in history as the second Afghanistan war.

The illegal and immoral high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists and their followers will be surely settled by the peace-loving countries aspiring after independence and peace, and the sacred cause for realizing the international justice will be accomplished without fail. -0-
