The historic inauguralmeeting of the Workers’ Party of Korea closed on October 13, Juche 34(1945)after successfully completing the discussions on agenda items.
That day, President KimIl Sung was to make a speech to inform the participants of the WPK'spolitical line.
After thinking deeply, hesaid to an official that he would have to make his name public to theparticipants in the meeting.
That evening, the officialappeared before the participants in the meeting and officials of the SouthPhyongan Provincial Party Committee gathered in the conference hall and said ina tremulous voice: “From now on General Kim Il Sung, peerless patriotand sagacious leader of the nation, will make a speech titled On theBuilding of New Korea and the National United Front."
At the moment, a suddensilence fell over the hall.
All the participants lookedup at the platform and realized that he who took the platform was the"political commissar of Kim Il Sung’s guerrilla army" who hadled the inaugural meeting of the party. They were so surprised that they onlylooked at each other’s face.
When the Presidentintroduced himself to them, cheers of "Long live General Kim Il Sung!"went up from the crowd.
As seen above, the Presidentmade public his name on the evening of October 13 after accomplishing thehistoric cause of party founding.
