Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Friday carry articles disclosing the crime of the Japanese imperialists who cooked up the "Ulsa Five-point Treaty" on November 17, 1905 in a brigandish way.
The "Ulsa Five-point Treaty", which brought the incurable wounds to the minds of the Korean people, was an illegal and fake document with no legal effect, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:
The "treaty" was cooked up by the Japanese imperialists, who compelled Emperor Kojong, the representative of the state, and frighten and threatened the ministers of the feudal Joson (Korea) dynasty to produce it.
The Japanese imperialist aggressors surrounded the royal palace with a large number of armed troops, staging even a military drill in front of it. At a council in the palace held on November 17 under such atmosphere, the ministers of the feudal Joson dynasty decided to reject the conclusion of the "treaty".
Being told that the negotiation was broken off, Hirobumi Ito entered the palace and forced the ministers of the government to gather in a room, compelling them to agree to the "treaty". When several ministers expressed their opposition, he threatened them openly and ordered his stooges to kill them if they persisted in their opposition.
After unilaterally declaring in such a gangster-like manner that the "treaty" was concluded, the Japanese imperialists made no scruple of stealing the seal from the foreign minister to affix the seal to the "treaty" in order to give "legality" to it.
Minju Joson stresses that no such group of gangsters can be found in the world as the Japanese aggressors who reduced a country and a nation into the colonial slavery with the invalid "Ulsa Five-point Treaty" fabricated in the most illegal way.
