That day, President KimIl Sung called a liaison officer in new military uniform. Saying that helooked smart in that uniform and everyone could see that he was a liaisonofficer soon, he asked him if he had any trouble in carrying out his duty.
After hearing the report ofthe liaison officer that there was no trouble as all conditions were provided forwork, he said that he was pleased to hear that, adding that officials andsoldiers would actively help him and other liaison officers in their workbecause they were performing an important duty, but they should act modestlyand perform their duties in a responsible manner.
It was an importantinstruction to the liaison officers, young people in their early twenties, toalways perform their duties, acting modestly at any time and in any place,without making any mistakes as great authority was granted to them.
The instruction of thePresident reflected the precious truth that the duties assigned by the Partymight be special, but there should never be any high-handedness in treating thepeople.
