Vladimir Topeha, Russian charge d’affaires in Pyongyang, and his embassy staff members and Korean residents in China on a tour of the DPRK on November 26 visited the polling stations in Pyongyang and other places, where elections of deputies to provincial (city under the direct jurisdiction of the government), city (district) and county people’s assemblies of the DPRK were taking place.
The Russian diplomats and overseas Koreans expressed their deep impression as they saw the voters full of enthusiasm to further consolidate the genuine people’s revolutionary power at the polling stations of sub-constituencies Nos. 39 and 46 of constituency No. 54 in Pyongyang and sub-constituency No. 11 of constituency No. 46 in Nampho City.
After looking round the polling stations, Pak San Ho, Korean businessman in China, said that the DPRK’s election system is a popular one as it enables all citizens to take part in the elections with equal political rights and qualifications and express their opinions freely.
