I have an unforgettable day in my lifetime and I often remember it with deep emotion.
It was November 26 ten years ago when I was a university student. That day, I was honoured to meet the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, whom I wished to see even in a dream, and receive valuable teachings from him.
After looking round the hall dedicated to education with revolutionary relics and architectural designing room of the university, he dropped in at the fine art practice room where we students were sketching. He unexpectedly told us to try and sketch one of his attendants.
We finished sketching in a few minutes, and he began to examine our sketches one by one. Approaching me sitting on the last seat, he saw my sketch, saying that I drew well and depicted the characteristics of the object of sketching properly. And he patted my back, telling the attendants to see my drawing.
He also taught us the orientation and ways to prepare ourselves to become talented architects who would make a tangible contribution to building a civilized socialist country.
That day, we cherished his instructions as they made us realize what attitude, ambition and dream we should have in designing the bright future of our country.
After he left our university, my classmates and I studied harder to draw the designs of the general layout of Ryomyong Street and those of Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, the seat of the City of Samjiyon and other major projects for the building of a powerful socialist country.
All my classmates and I won University Student Scientific Search Prize for proposing new and original designs.
The dream, ambition and enthusiasm of mine at the time still inspire me to work to achieve greater successes.
