Japanese Authorities Can Never Evade Blame for Past Crimes: Rodong Sinmun

Date: 29/11/2023 | Source: KCNA.kp (En) | Read original version at source

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan recently told that the Japanese government can never accept the issue of reparation to the victims of the past sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

Earlier, the chief Cabinet secretary of Japan expressed the negative stand on the fact that the Imperial Japanese Army was involved in the sexual slavery.

History is not erased by denial of it and the obligation to make reparation for crimes does not disappear when it is shirked, says Rodong Sinmun in an article Wednesday.

The sexual slavery committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past is the cruelest and most brutal crime against humanity unprecedented in the human history, so accounts must be properly settled, the article says, and continues:

It is the demand of history and unanimous voice of the international community that the Japanese imperialists' past crimes can never be covered up.

The Japanese authorities' words and deeds are little short of the crime of their ancestors who reduced hundreds of thousands of Korean women into sexual slaves, and their remarks and action mean they declared that they would repeat it.

The shameless acts of the Japanese reactionaries without elementary morality and sense of guilt are touching off towering indignation of the Korean people and the international community.

No sleight of hand can make Japan succeed in evading the responsibility for the hideous state-sponsored crime that wantonly violated international law and morality.

The Japanese authorities should take a sincere stand and attitude, properly understanding the will of the Korean people to get an apology and reparation for all the past crimes against humanity. -0-
