The Japanese authorities have become ever more undisguised in their moves to turn their country into a military power.

A typical example is that they force the rising generations to fly Hinomaru and sing Kimigayo.

Hinomaru and Kimigayo are typical symbols of Japanese militarism. In the last century the Japanese imperialists invaded Korea and other Asian countries raising rifles with blood-stained Hinomaru tied to their bayonets. They also slaughtered many people of different countries, singing Kimigayo in a fanatically squeaky voice.

The use of Kimigayo and Hinomaru was banned in Japan, when it was reduced to a war criminal state and defeated nation with the end of World War II.

Accordingly, the Tokyo metropolitan education commission of Japan issued the “October 23 notice” to educational institutions on October 23 2003 and made it a duty for the teaching staff and students to stand up to hoist Hinomaru and sing Kimigayo in chorus at various meetings of schools including graduation and entrance ceremonies.

But such outrageous demand has aroused strong opposition from the Japanese educational and social circles.

With the "'October 23 notice" meeting with growing opposition this year, 20 years after the "notice" was issued,  a rally was held on October 22 to demand its withdrawal in Tokyo and the protection of freedom and human rights at schools.

The secretary general of the “meeting of those punished (for not obeying the rule)” at the rally called for the revival of education to ensure the innocent growth and development of children, saying that the real purpose of the Tokyo metropolitan education commission imposing Hinomaru and Kimigayo on the children is to infuse obedience to the state into them.

And teachers who were punished for not following the order of duty to stand up and sing in chorus filed a lawsuit against the Tokyo Kimigayo trial again for the fifth time to demand the cancellation of their punishment.

It is a just demand not to throw the sacred education on the mercy of the authorities' militarist policy.

The misbehaviour of the Japanese authorities is apparently aimed at repeating their past crimes stained with aggression and plunder again by inciting an atmosphere of militarization.

History and reality clearly showed that those who embarked on the road of aggression and conquest of other countries were doomed to ruin.

The Japanese authorities, who impose the ill-fame and miserable fate of the war criminal state and aggressor to which it had been reduced in the past upon the younger generations, are the militarist fanatics who invite the complete destruction of Japan.
