Premier Kim Tok Hun, who is also member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, inspected different sectors.
While making the rounds of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex which is bringing about an upsurge in production to properly do the year-end conclusion, the Premier referred to the need to produce and supply enough facilities needed for different economic sectors including the construction site of the Tanchon Power Station by ensuring effective arrangement of works between production processes and constantly improving the processing capacity and precision of facilities.
Bearing in mind that science and technology mean increased production, officials, workers and technicians should push ahead with the modernization of production processes in a planned way and, in particular, channel effort into technical innovation for improving the efficiency of generating facilities, he said.
After learning about the production and performance of different farm machines including tractor at the Kumsong Tractor Factory, he said that it should actively develop and produce highly-efficient farm machines to suit the actual situation of the country and supply more to socialist rural communities.
As he looked round the provincial building-materials exhibition-2023 and the venue of the national presentation of technical experience and exhibition of scientific research achievements in the agricultural sector, he stressed the need to ensure the domestic production of building materials, improve the quality of products including finishing building materials and widely share and generalize the agricultural sci-tech achievements and experience to make a substantial contribution to the stable and sustainable development of agricultural production.
Field consultative meetings discussed the issues of supplying materials and products under contract necessary for the production of custom-built equipment in time, further consolidating the production foundation of farm machines in close contact between scientific research institutions and production units, diversifying the production of finishing building materials in kind, form and colour by relying on locally available material resources, and breeding more high-yield and good strains of crops and urgently introducing them, and took appropriate steps.
