A national students' study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu began.
A meeting was held at the education yard before the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City on December 1.
It was attended by Ri Thae Il, Chief Secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, youth league officials and marchers.
The participants in the meeting laid a floral basket and flowers before the bronze statue of Kim Jong Il and paid homage to him.
Mun Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report, which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said the entire participants in the study tour should actively learn after the firm spirit of resolute defence of the leader and living example of loyalty shown by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and firmly prepare themselves as the first death-defying corps defending the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, their destiny and future, politically, ideologically and at the risk of their lives.
After the meeting, the participants started the march.
