Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- The year Juche 112 (2023) witnessed a fierce contest for technical upgrading, creation and technical leap to open a wide avenue for new development and rapid progress in all regions, sectors and units.
The technical innovation contests of each sector took place widely and simultaneously on a nationwide scale to attain the 12 major goals of the national economic development, including fierce competition among the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades in the fields of metal, electric power and light industries.
And technical innovation contests of various forms and contents were staged in every province, city, county and industrial establishment to powerfully push ahead with the implementation of the tasks for the third year in carrying out the five-year plan set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.
Technical innovation contests in the fields of Koryo medicine production and coal production were witnessed in Pyongyang Municipality, a technical innovation contest for implementing the maintenance and reinforcement plan and developing new products at the Hamhung Youth Electric Appliances Plant in South Hamgyong Province, an industrial province, and technical innovation contests in the agricultural and fishery sectors in South Hwanghae Province, an agricultural province, and other regions and Kangwon Province.
The same was true of South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces and Kaesong Municipality.
Those technical innovation contests, aimed at properly sustaining the natural geographical advantages and the economic and technical characteristics of regions, played a substantial role in further consolidating the material and technical foundations to promote and expand the possibility of regional development.
Meanwhile, such contests were staged more vigorously in education, public health, sports and other sectors. -0-
