The General Association of Koreans in China sent a congratulatory message to the Fifth National Conference of Mothers on December 3.
The message extended heartfelt congratulations and paid tribute to the women of the DPRK, who gave birth to many children and are bringing them up excellently to firmly carry on the revolutionary cause of Juche, and the mothers, who rendered great services to achieving prosperity of the country and fully displaying the advantages of Korean-style socialism, on the occasion of the conference.
The message said that President Kim Il Sung organized the national conference of mothers for the first time in the history of the country on November 16 1961 and specified the matters to be tackled by the mothers to fulfil their responsibilities and roles in his historic speech "The Duty of Mothers in the Education of Children". It continued that the mothers of the DPRK, under the guidance of the great leaders, have fully discharged the duties of the times they assume before the country and nation with intense loyalty and ardent patriotism in each period of the revolution.
It noted that the dependable looks of the mothers devoting their all are seen everywhere, from the factories and farms where miracles and feats are performed in the building of a powerful socialist country to the construction sites for monumental structures, scientific research bases seething with enthusiasm, schools, kindergartens and nurseries.
The Fifth National Conference of Mothers held with the pride and self-confidence in that the dignity and might of the DPRK have risen to the top of the world will be a significant meeting which would encourage mothers to fulfil their duty and role in the ongoing general advance for building a powerful socialist country as early as possible, cherishing more deeply the loyalty to the cause of the Party and the noble mission for the future of the country, the message said.
