Young people and students visited Chairman Kim Jong Il’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp on December 3 as part of their study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.
After laying a basket of flowers and flowers at a mosaic mural depicting the peerlessly great persons and making a bow, they entered the yard of his birthplace with a solemn feeling.
They were impressed once again with the sacred traces of President Kim Il Sung, as they heard an explanation about the legendary hero who set the area as the strategic base of the Korean revolution in the latter half of the 1930s and led the overall anti-Japanese national liberation struggle to a great upswing.
While looking round historic relics showing all events of the great anti-Japanese war, including a shallow well used by anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk and revolutionary slogans written by her, they kept deep in their minds the spirit of devotedly safeguarding the leader and the spirit of implementing his order at the risk of one’s life displayed by the anti-Japanese guerrillas who fought their way across tens of thousands of ri in the bloody war for the liberation of the country and through blizzards under the leadership of Commander Kim Il Sung.
They remembered the sacred revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who performed undying exploits for the prosperity of the country and people’s well-being in front of the monument inscribed with Kim Il Sung’s autographic poem.
That day, they looked round the Headquarters log cabin, publishing station, barrack and bonfire sites and others showing the iron discipline and regular features of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army in the Sajabong secret camp.
