Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung`s Visit to Haeju University of Industrial Technology Marked

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in the DPRK to mark the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's field-guidance to Haeju University of Industrial Technology.
Present there were officials, teachers and students of the university.
Ho Yong Hui, rector of the university, addressed the meeting.
The reporter recalled that the President visited the university in December Juche 62 (1973) and looked round various parts of the university for a long time, calling for radically raising the quality of education and promoting the physical strength of students with political and ideological education as the main line.
The President's field-guidance served as an epochal occasion in bringing about a new change in developing the university and science education as it clearly indicated important tasks for teaching, education and scientific research activities, the reporter stressed.
The reporter referred to the fact that the university has so far made much progress in adding luster to the honor of being the unit associated with the President's leadership exploits and carrying out the leaders' instructions and the Party policies.
The reporter underlined the need for all the teaching staff and students of the university to achieve signal successes in the training of technical talents and the scientific research and studies, true to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and thus make a positive contribution to building a scientific and technological power, a talent power.
