Childcare policy—DPRK’s most important policy, supreme desire

A childcare programme is now in full swing in the DPRK to provide conditions for the supply of more dairy products to children throughout the country.

New livestock farming bases have been built in many parts of the country to increase the number of dairy cows and goats, along with the construction of many milk processing bases.

At the same time, proper attention is directed to the scientific management of the nutrition of children.

It is the childcare policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea to supply all children with nutritious foods including dairy products in a regular way and provide them with the best conditions for their upbringing.

This policy crystallizes the firm determination of the Party and the DPRK government to bring up the rising generations well and firmly guarantee the prosperity and bright future of the country and nation.

The childcare policy has become the most important policy and supreme desire of the WPK and the DPRK which should be implemented consistently in any conditions and environment.

It is the immutable will of the WPK that children should be prepared well as reserves for building socialism and communism by feeding them well and bringing them up healthily at any cost and the work for the rising generations should neither be held up nor halted in any case.

As a result, the WPK has taken appropriate measures for the care of the children invariably, not only in ordinary days but also in hard times, and even in the period when the country experienced extreme difficulties. It discusses such issues as whether children are provided with dairy products in the standard amount, whether they are supplied to those who are ill at homes or hospitalized, what kind of measure should be taken additionally to increase the production of milk and how it would support the rural villages facing difficulties in building dairy production bases, and takes timely measures before anything else.

The DPRK has now lots of policy issues which require urgent solution including the economic growth and improvement of the people’s standard of living.

Therefore, every penny counts in the country more than ever, but the WPK consistently adheres to the childcare policy before any other work. It is the momentous decision that no one would dare to make other than the WPK which takes responsibility for and shapes both the present and the future.

If the children born on this land and the rising generations eat well and grow healthily in good environment from their childhood, society will be full of that much energy and life after 20 and 30 years and the national power of the DPRK will grow stronger.
