Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The 2023 Autumn Aesthetic Symposium in the Field of Urban Management took place at the Sci-Tech Complex of the DPRK on December 8 through videoconferencing.
Present there were officials, scientists and technicians from relevant fields, including the urban management, design, supervision, construction and education in Pyongyang and each province, and the relevant units.
The symposium was held on the theme of "Socialist civilization and building management". Speeches were made there by Ri Sung Jun, department director of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, Kim Jong Chol, rector of Pyongyang University of Architecture, Kim Kuk Hyon, department director of the Ministry of Urban Management, and others.
Speakers noted that fine streets, rural houses, production buildings, and educational, public health and cultural welfare facilities have been successfully built in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to renew the looks of cities and regions and change the appearance of the country day by day.
They said that the urban management has been conducted on the principle of embodying our-party-first principle, our-ideology-first principle, our-system-first principle and our-nation-first principle in architecture and ensuring the people's demand and interests in life to renew various cities.
They referred to the successes and experience gained in turning the seats of various counties into socialist fairylands.
Displayed at the symposium was a video showing the successes made in the management of houses and public buildings as well as the advanced science and technology applied to the diagnosis of and repair of buildings. -0-
