Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Four years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un set it as the strategic task for the revolution to arm all the people with the revolutionary traditions of Paektu, the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, while leaving his profound intention and sacred footprints on the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an article.

The great programme for education in the revolutionary traditions set forth by Kim Jong Un is the basic guidelines that opened up a new turning point in education in the revolutionary traditions, and it is the banner of struggle and victory that should be held fast to as the generations change and the revolution develops, the article says, and goes on:

The revolutionary traditions of Paektu are the historic roots of our Party and revolution and the lifeline that provides a link between one generation and another, and they serve as an eternal asset of the revolution and a great encyclopedia that cannot be bartered for anything.

Thanks to the glorious revolutionary traditions of Paektu that have been firmly preserved and thoroughly embodied, our country and revolution could advance victoriously and rapidly despite the trying ordeals in which others might have collapsed a hundred times.

The revolutionary traditions of Paektu, created along with the start of the Korean revolution and steadily inherited and developed in the severe annals of the revolution, are the only traditions of our Republic and the great ones that have made it possible to fully demonstrate the dignity and honor of our country to the whole world.

The history of the most arduous anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle should be living experience for those in the era of our state-first principle and the powerful driving force for the comprehensive national development, not the lines of reminiscences or the memories of the past history. Herein lies the great influence of education in the revolutionary traditions through the study tour of revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites.

It is the steadfast determination and will of the Party Central Committee to keep the revolutionary traditions of Paektu forever and newly develop the overall phase of Korean-style socialism in the indomitable offensive spirit based on the great traditions by further intensifying the education in the revolutionary traditions.
