With Untiring Passion

If a person has worked as a kindergarten director for a decade, he or she must have a pride of having trained several promising prodigies and graduating countless children in these years. But, Song Hyang Chun, director of the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities, has no such a pride.Kim Kyong Sun, mother of a disabled child, told a TV reporter:“No parents can guess how many months or years it will take to rehabilitate their children with disabilities, and there is no prescribed period. But Mrs. Song and all other teachers at the centre are devoting themselves to their work. As the mother of a child with disability, I often wonder if I could do so as they did. My child could not walk properly before. But this year greeting June 1, international children`s day, she put on a sports uniform like others and participated in a fight-for-a-ball event. It was the first time that I felt greatest happiness.”The reporter asked Song how she had been able to devote herself for the sake of the disabled children for ten years.The director replied: “I have thought how I could relieve the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un of his burden and how painful he would feel if he thought of the children with disabilities. This thought inspired me to work harder. The Marshal said that it should become a social climate to take good care of orphans, the elderly with nobody to support them and persons with disabilities. This has led me to redouble my efforts in braving difficulties.” She has neither glittering decorations nor honorary titles. Moreover, she has never stood in the place of honour which is envied by others. But she has an appellation, our director, which is cherished in the children`s hearts. This appellation reflects the devotion, enthusiasm and conscience with which she has faithfully supported Kim Jong Un in loving the rising generation.
