The organizational and political work is active in the provinces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to thoroughly implement the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy".
The provinces direct main efforts to making full advance preparations including the organization of the provincial non-permanent committee for the promotion of regional development 20×10 with the Chief Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea as its chief, the establishment of a well-regulated work system and the reinforcement of the designing forces and selection of the sites on the principle of putting the construction projects on a planned, concentrated and future-oriented basis.
North and South Phyongan Provinces vigorously lay material and technical foundations for the modernization of local industry and normalized production at the factories to be inaugurated in the future. And they discuss the issues and take measures to establish and expand raw material bases and fully supply the construction units with equipment, vehicles and utensils and tools.
North and South Hwanghae Provinces allot detailed and clear tasks to the units and conduct the operations purposefully lest there should be any exaggeration and weakpoint in their implementation.
Officials of the Party and government organs and administrative and economic bodies in Jagang and Kangwon Provinces work out detailed stepwise plans. Officials of North and South Hamgyong and Ryanggang Provinces also turned out as one in the struggle to bring about a marked change in the development of local industry and improvement of the people's living.
Officials of the Party and government organs in Nampho and Kaesong Cities set practicable long-term objectives suited to the regional characteristics and concentrate efforts on the preparations for developing local industry in a comprehensive and balanced way.
