The 30th Plenary Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on the 7th.
Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, presided over the meeting.
Present at the meeting were members of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly.
Also on hand as observers were officials concerned of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, ministries and national agencies.
Brought up for discussion as agenda items of the meeting were the issue on abolishing the DPRK Law of North-South Economic Cooperation, Law of Mt. Kumgang International Tourism Special Zone and their implementation rules and agreements related to north-south economic cooperation and on approving the Munphyong area masterplan for land development and the issue on recalling and electing judges of the Central Court.
The meeting adopted with unanimous approval the decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly "On Abolishing the DPRK Law of North-South Economic Cooperation, Law of Mt. Kumgang International Tourism Special Zone and Their Implementation Rules and Agreements Related to North-South Economic Cooperation".
Then, a report was made on the Munphyong area masterplan for land development.
The masterplan reflects in detail the practical issues for face-lifting the region and providing the people with more cultured living conditions and environment by carrying on the land and environment protection, urban management and construction in the Munphyong area in a prospective and scientific way.
The meeting adopted a relevant decree on the basis of the study and discussion of the masterplan.
The meeting recalled and elected judges of the Central Court of the DPRK.
