Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- South Hamgyong Province in the DPRK is conducting the brisk mass-based movement for rendering assistance to the rural areas in hearty response to the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The province has pushed ahead with the work to support the socialist countryside in a bold way and positively in combination with the mass movement, thus sending more than 100 000 small and medium farm implements to farms.
Officials and working people of provincial-level units provided farms with knapsack sprayers and other farming materials by exploring and mobilizing internal reserves and possibilities and encouraged the agricultural workers putting spurs to preparations for the immediate farming.
The workers of the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, the Songchongang Electric Appliances Factory and other industrial establishments are making sincere efforts to render assistance to the rural communities even while speeding up the present production.
