Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an editorial says that now that the gigantic undertakings are going on in real earnest under the transformative blueprint of regional development unfolded by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), it is the most important task for cities and counties across the country to perfectly carry out the Party's policies without any mistake and without any shortcomings.

Cities and counties should keep step with the Party's great attention to regional development and direct the greatest efforts to implementing the Party's policies so as to turn the regions into strategic bases of a highly civilized and prosperous socialist power and developed regions with its own peculiar features with sure and steady successes as soon as possible, the editorial says, and goes on:

For cities and counties to thoroughly carry out the Party’s policies is a prerequisite for consolidating their areas into fortresses of single-hearted unity, which is solid in ideology and intention of the Party Central Committee.

The strengthening of cities and counties as strategic fortresses and regional bases of the Party and the state is guaranteed by the solidity of the politico-ideological position.
