Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Fisheries in the DPRK directs efforts to further developing fish farming.
The ministry has established a system of distributing updated sci-tech data monthly and quarterly to maritime fisheries while introducing advanced technology into breeding grounds in various forms and ways.
It is also spurring the research into artificial incubation technology and advanced fry raising technology to be applied to fish farming.
And it has paid attention to finding suitable sites for cage-net fish farming and tideland pond fish farming to expand the area of maritime fish farming, while pushing to finish earlier the construction of the maritime fisheries planned for this year.
Freshwater fish farms focus on breeding fishes of good species.
They are striving to level up the technical and skilled workers' capacity and invent and introduce scientific methods to fish farming. -0-
