Production Site Visited by General Secretary

One August day several years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected a pig farm despite the sultry weather.

He, entering its fattening shed, wore a broad smile on his face saying that he felt pleasant seeing the shed crowded with pigs.

But accompanying officials could hardly repress their sorry feelings at the thought that they conducted the respected General Secretary into such a foul place.

Looking round the compound of the farm, he, all of a sudden, suggested going to the organic compound fertilizer shop.

At the moment, the officials wavered because the air in it was not so fresh.

So they persuaded him not to go there.

However the respected General Secretary warmly said that he should go there as our workers were working in it.

Looking up to him going into the production site unhesitatingly to learn in detail about its production process, the officials made a firm pledge to devote their all to relieving his pains.

Reason Why He Quickened His Pace

It happened when the respected General Secretary visited the Farm No. 1116 despite his busy work of commanding the rehabilitation of the disaster-stricken northern areas in North Hamgyong Province.

That day, saying that he was so pleased that he came to the farm after receiving the news that the farm newly bred maize and dry-field rice seeds, he expressed his great satisfaction.

In May a year before, he had visited the farm to learn in detail about its management looking round the seed research institute, experimental factory and crops experimental and cultivation fields and clearly indicated the ways to be followed by the factory in carrying out the Party’s policy for bringing about a radical turn in seed selection.

He had again come to the farm a few months later and given detailed instruction to breed more high-yielding crops walking along the field way for a long time.

Nevertheless, he visited again the farm that day and devoted much time while acquainting himself with the actual state of the farm and naming new maize strain.

At that time, the officials earnestly requested him to take a rest because many hours passed. But he made rounds of the field of the species of dry-field rice, too, while quickening his pace saying that it is his desire to feed our people well and make them lead happy life.

Following the traces of the respected General Secretary who has devoted his all to bringing earlier the happy future of the people day and night, the officials were full of ardent pledge to discharge their duties as the people’s faithful servants.
