Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung ’s Field Guidance to Pyongyang Gold Lane Marked

A meeting took place on Sunday to mark the 30th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung’s field guidance to the Pyongyang Gold Lane.
Attending it were Kim Myong Gun, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, and officials and employees of the committee and the Pyongyang Gold Lane.
Sin Ju Hyon, director of the Pyongyang Gold Lane, made a report.
The reporter noted that President Kim Il Sung visited the Pyongyang Gold Lane on February 25, Juche 83 (1994) and hefted the bowling ball and watched the games of fans, giving instructions on the operation of the gold lane and the management of its equipment and facilities.
Chairman Kim Jong Il personally initiated the construction of the Pyongyang Gold Lane on January 24, 1990 and chose the site for it and examined its layout, giving meticulous guidance to the whole construction process, the reporter said.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw a letter presented by officials and employees of the Pyongyang Gold Lane on March 5, 2014 and clearly indicated the issues arising in improving and strengthening its management and operation, the reporter said.
Noting that the gold lane has been visited by more than 4.6 million working people, school youth and children and over 150 000 overseas compatriots and foreigners since its completion, the reporter called upon its officials and employees to operate it on a high level by ensuring normal operation of equipment and thus live up to the trust and expectation of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
