Amid the heightening spirit of advance among the hot-blooded youths of our era who are performing daring feats at the forefront of the all-people patriotic struggle to open up a broad avenue for national prosperity, over 80 young men and women in South Hamgyong Province volunteered to work at revolutionary battle sites and on major fronts of socialist construction.
A meeting was held on January 15 to congratulate the volunteers.
It was attended by Om Pong Guk, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and other young people.
A red flag was handed over to the volunteers and certificates of volunteering were conferred on them.
Congratulatory remarks and speeches were made there.
A resolution was adopted at the meeting.
Youth league officials and other young people and students in the province warmly saw them off, presenting bouquets to the volunteers.
