Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- The officials and employees at the Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection in the DPRK have made progress in producing saplings.
The nursery produced tens of millions of saplings of good species of over 50 kinds by stepping up the work to put the sapling production on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis of higher level.
It has pushed ahead with the production of saplings of high economic value including pine-nut tree, Larix lepolepis, Kumya black pine and zelkova.
It applied advanced cultivation technology and satisfied technical requirements depending on each growth of trees.
Its officials and employees are devoting all their wisdom and zeal to sapling production, mindful of the importance of their duty to the forest restoration campaign. -0-
