Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in an article that the imperialists fuel confrontation between forces and unhesitatingly commit such infringements of sovereignty and human rights as armed invasion of sovereign states and massacre of civilians while touting "defending of democracy", "reconstruction of democratic union" and "world summit for democracy".
The "democracy" advocated by the imperialists is nothing but a deceptive slogan and the main means for realizing their hegemony, the article notes, and goes on:
Democracy must be politics reflecting the will of the masses, and its essence is to formulate policies according to the desire of the broad masses, thoroughly defend their interests and provide all people with genuine freedom and rights and happy material and cultural life in a substantial way.
On the contrary, "democracy" trumpeted by the imperialists is American-style politics that never does people good.
Their coercive enforcement of American-style democracy is aimed at maintaining and consolidating the world order dominated by the U.S.-led Western forces.
The imperialists are forcing their reactionary and anti-popular "democracy" on others in a bid to make sure that the Western view of value and way of life dominate all countries so as to get the whole world under their thumb.
This is the aim of the imperialists' talking about "ensuring democracy".
It is the truth taught by history that if one state gives in to deception and pressure by the imperialists and accepts the American-style democracy, its country and nation is doomed to be ruined.
Nothing can cover up the deceptive and aggressive nature of the imperialists' clamor for "ensuring democracy". -0-
