The preparations for the new school year are brisk in different parts of the country.
The Ministry of Education set the plan for making the preparations for the new school year run through the course of implementing the task facing the educational sector set forth at the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and carries on its organizational work.
In particular, it directs big efforts to improving the qualification of the teachers in keeping with enforcing the education of selective subjects at dozens of schools across the country on an experimental basis.
It organizes in a substantial way the teaching workshops according to every school and subjects which are of importance in improving the qualification of the teachers while propelling the work for raising the sense of responsibility and roles of the teachers’ reeducation institutes in a methodological way.
As regards the fact that dozens of the high technical middle schools are to be set up from the new school year, special attentions are being paid to hastening the preparations for the start of school with the works for preparing the teachers of specialized subjects and fully furnishing the schools with experimental apparatuses and equipment.
And the ministry focuses on minutely organizing the work to generalize the superior teaching methods created last year and put the qualitative level of education onto higher stage from the new school year.
Also the works for pedagogically mapping out and making the teaching plans and teaching aids have been accelerated at every school.
Meanwhile, officials at all units strive to solve the knotty problems in time after acquainting themselves with the preparations for the new school year in a detailed way.
The work for helping the schools is substantially organized in every region.
To narrow the differences of the educational level between cities and rural areas, the work is being pushed ahead with for providing educational condition and environment to the schools in rural areas.
Thanks to the devoted efforts of the officials, teachers and working people across the country, the preparations for the new school year have been made briskly.
